Judith's Walk - 2025 (Photo: Ian Renshaw)

My mission is to raise Awareness & Funds for
Ovarian Cancer Research

My wife Judith was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in September 2015 at the age of 79.

Judith, my beloved wife, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and underwent several rounds of chemotherapy. While she initially achieved remission, the disease returned in 2016, leading to further treatment. Unfortunately, despite her courageous battle, Judith passed away peacefully on March 8, 2017.

Inspired by her memory, I founded Judith’s Legacy to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research. This insidious disease, often referred to as the “silent killer,” doesn’t receive the same attention or funding as other cancers.

To honor Judith’s legacy, we organize annual events, including the Judith’s Walk, a breakfast, an auction, and sausage sizzles at Seaford Bunnings. I also actively promote Judith’s Legacy at local shopping centers, selling Judith’s Pens, Judith’s wine (a Shiraz and Chardonnay), and handmade beanies. Proceeds from these efforts directly support our cause.

You can help us make a difference by participating in our events, donating, or spreading awareness about ovarian cancer. Together, we can honor Judith’s memory and work towards a future where no one has to face this devastating disease.

Judith's Walk

An annual event to raise funds and awareness of Ovarian Cancer

Judith’s Walk has run annually since February 2018. The walk is a social occasion to celebrate Judith’s life, walking from the Willunga Rose Garden to Kangarilla Road through the vines along the Shiraz Trail. This is a walk Judith and I did several times. The event is to raise
awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research and provide a goodie bag with brochures on ovarian cancer and other relevant information.

Entry fees raise much needed funds for the Cancer Council in their fight against Ovarian Cancer.  Please join us at our next event. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for updates.
